Looking for somewhere interesting to drive this weekend?<\/p>\n

Getting in your car and going on a road trip can be one of the best ways of getting to see the marvellous variety of scenery and culture that Malaysia has to offer.<\/p>\n

But where are the best places to go? Here are a number of suggestions for short excursions to tempt your curiosity and wanderlust.<\/p>\n

1.Seremban \u2013 Kuala Pilah<\/u>
<\/u><\/b><\/h2>\n

There are two options for this short drive into Malaysia<\/strong>\u2019s interior. You can either take the dual carriageway bridge or take the historic Bukit Putus<\/strong> road.<\/p>\n

Options en route to the old mining town of Kuala Pilah<\/strong> include the Ulu Bendul Recreation Forest<\/strong> where it is possible to swim in the river or hike up Gunung Angsi<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

From here you can enjoy the countryside dotted with individual kampung houses.<\/p>\n

2.Kuala Lumpur \u2013 Bukit Tinggi<\/u>
<\/u><\/b><\/h2>\n

The drive to Bukit Tinggi<\/strong> dan Fraser\u2019s Hill<\/strong> is ideal for a day trip from the capital.<\/p>

Bukit Tinggi<\/strong> is home to Colmar Tropicale<\/strong>, an area styled in as a 16th Century village in Alsace. Nearby is a fabulous Japanese garden, which is also worth a visit.<\/p>

From here drive onwards to the \u201cLittle England\u201d vibe of Fraser\u2019s Hill<\/strong>, or if you\u2019re feeling more energetic, why not take advantage of one of the many hiking trails in the area such as the Bishop Trail<\/strong>, Jeriau Waterfall<\/strong> dan Hemmant Trail<\/strong>?<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

5.Changlun \u2013 Kuala Perlis
<\/b><\/u><\/h2>\n

The route from the small town of Changlun<\/strong> to the seafood centre of Kuala Perlis<\/strong> takes you through rows of paddy fields and limestone hills.<\/p>\n

From Kuala Perlis<\/strong> there is the option to jump over to Langkawi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

6.Dungun \u2013 Kuala Terengganu<\/b>
<\/b><\/u><\/h2>\n

Another recommended road trip is the drive north along Terengganu<\/strong>\u2019s coastal highway.<\/p>\n

Lined with coconut and casuarina trees, this route passes by a number of islands including the idyllic island of Pulau Kapas<\/strong> off Marang. On this route you\u2019ll find no shortage of attractive beaches to visit.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The coastal highway of Terengganu is a non-stop voyage of idyllic beaches, where one could easily lose the afternoon in a world of relaxation. 7.Teluk Bahang \u2013 Balik<\/h2>

This classic drive on\u00a0Penang Island<\/strong>\u00a0starts in\u00a0Teluk Bahang<\/strong>\u00a0on the island\u2019s north coast.<\/p>

Driving south, the road takes you past the\u00a0Teluk Bahang dam<\/strong>\u00a0before reaching a series of tight bends and hairpin loops.<\/p>

After passing durian platations and a buddhist temple, the road eventually opens out into a wide valley full of orchards and kampung houses.<\/p>
