At the recently concluded Tayaria Alliance Dealers Conference, Kit Loong Tayaria Sdn Bhd (KLT) proudly unveiled their “Tayaria Training in Professional Service” package, or in short, “Tayaria TIPS”. The package consists of a set of dual language training manuals and a corresponding DVD, which were produced as part of the continuous support that KLT deliver in their Tayaria Alliance program. The aim is to constantly enhance the professional standards of Tayaria Alliance network. “Tayaria TIPS” will be a useful tool for dealers to train their staff with. It can also be a basis for dealers to structure their standard operating procedures (SOP) for key tyre servicing processes.
This annual Tayaria Alliance Dealers Conference is the 7th in the series, and was held in Pullman Hotel, Kuala Lumpur City Centre, on 20th November 2015. It was attended by 120 dealers, staff and invited guests. The conference started with the opening address by the CEO of Kit Loong Group, Mr Jacob Chen, who welcomed new members of the growing Tayaria Alliance family, followed by a presentation and discussion of the latest Malaysian tyre market survey data. The presentation also reviewed various activities that have been carried out to support the Tayaria Alliance program, and outlined plans for more activities in the following year. There was also an interesting discourse on the need for dealers to augment their product offerings in order to gain a competitive edge in the market. Hence, the many support activities initiated by KLT, including “Tayaria TIPS”, are all aimed toward helping Tayaria Alliance dealers achieve competitive edge through product augmentation.
For this year’s conference, KLT managed to invite the CEO of B-Quik Company Ltd, Mr Henk Kiks, to be a special guest speaker to share the success story of B-Quik, a hugely successful independent tyre chain in Thailand. The hour-long presentation was very well received by the Tayaria Alliance dealers, and was followed by a lively 30-minute Q&A session.
Another guest speaker invited by KLT was the Managing Director of Pirelli Asia Pte Ltd, Mr Aleksandar Gramatikov, who presented specific plans and programs to support Pirelli tyre sales in the Tayaria Alliance network. He also took the opportunity to give a sneak preview of a new product launch in the coming year.
The conference ended with an award presentation for the top 3 winners of the Tayaria Alliance C.I.M. (Cleanliness, Image & Merchandising) campaign for 2015.
